Process, Sizes and Media

Intaglio Editions employs a custom process using a fine dot aquatint screen on polymer plates to faithfully reproduce your continuous tone photographs and artwork. Technical information about our process is available here.

Images may be up to 20x30". All prints will have at least a 2" paper border surrounding the image.

Customer may choose to have their prints made on either on Rives BFK white, or Hahnemuhl Warm or Bright White archival paper. Other types of paper may be used upon request.

Contact us to discuss your specific project and need for Fine Art Photogravure Services.

Transportation of Images

Images may be scanned to our specifications and uploaded via a secure website at the time the order is placed. This method is preferable and can save money. Images may be accepted in .TIF or .psd format scanned at 16bit, 360dpi at 100% of the print size, ideally. Please note that digital images will appear different on different computers, monitors, and printers. Files submitted and accepted will be printed "as is". If there is any doubt about the quality of your digital scan, we advise you to have your original images scanned and prepared by a professional, or send them to us for preparation. When possible, mailing us a paper proof of the image as you would like it to be rendered in polymer photogravure is advised.

Original images may be mailed to us via USPS, UPS or FedEx, but must be insured for their perceived value and tracked. Insurance and tracking for the return shipment of any original images sent to us will be added to your bill. We are not responsible for images that may get lost in transit.
